Young people 6-16 are invited to try something new this Saturday at the Cariboo Memorial Complex, when ‘Lacrosse Mania’ kicks off in Rink #2 from noon to 2pm.

Called the ‘fastest sport on two feet’ and known as Canada’s official summer sport, Lacrosse is an excellent cross-training sport for hockey players, and hockey ‘greats’ who played Lacrosse in the off-season include Wayne Gretzky,  Brendan Shanahan, Doug Gilmour, Joe Sakic and Paul Kariya.

The free drop-in session, hosted by the Williams Lake Bighorns Lacrosse league, is on Saturday April 2 and will include registration for the season, with certified lacrosse coaches on hand to assist and answer questions.
