News

RCMPshield_crest2100 Mile House RCMP responded to 57 complaints and calls for service over the last week.

On February 8, 100 Mile House RCMP received a complaint that an unlocked vehicle parked in the wallet, along with various identification and money were missing.  Police are reminding residents not to leave valuables in unsecured vehicles.

Acting on an associated investigation, on February 9, 100 Mile House RCMP executed a search warrant under the Controlled Drug and Substances Act on a residence in the Davis Lake Road area.  The occupants of the residence had fled and their equipment had been abandoned.  The growing marijuana had been dumped into a pile and set on fire.  Articles were seized in an attempt to prove the identity of the growers.  The investigation into this matter is continuing.

On February 9, 100 Mile House RCMP responded to a fire in a dumpster located behind a business in the 200 block of Birch Avenue.  The blaze was extinguished by the Fire Department.  Two youth in the proximity of the fire were questioned.  The fire is suspicious in nature.

On February 12, 100 Mile House RCMP  responded to a theft complaint at one of the businesses located in the Cariboo Mall.  An employee noticed that someone had entered the staff room and removed her credit cards.  That person cancelled her credit cards, but not before they were used at two other local businesses.  The investigation into this matter is continuing.

If you have any information about these incidents or any other local crimes, you are encouraged to contact the 100 Mile House RCMP, or CrimeStoppers.
