100 Mile House RCMP responded to 75 complaints and calls for service over the last week. Some highlights are below.

On March 1, 100 Mile House RCMP were following up on a matter when they came a residential grow operation in the 4000 block of Lac la Hache Station Road. A little over 100 marijuana plants were seized along with related marijuana growing equipment.

On March 2, 100 Mile House RCMP responded to a complaint of mischief at the Lone Butte water towers. It was reported that the towers had been spray painted with graffiti. It is estimated that the the cost to repaint these water towers would be approximately $2500. The investigation is continuing and anyone having information about this is asked to call the 100 Mile House RCMP or CrimeStoppers.

On March 2, 100 Mile House RCMP responded to a mischief and theft incident at the 100 Mile Laundromat where the interior of the Laundromat had been vandalised and some change had been stolen from a cash machine. The matter is still under investigation and anyone having information about this is asked to call the 100 Mile House RCMP or CrimeStoppers.

On March 3, 100 Mile House RCMP Traffic Services pulled a vehicle over in the downtown area of 100 Mile House for a driving infraction. Once pulled over, it was determined that the driver was operating the vehicle while impaired and was subsequently detained. The driver provided two breath samples of 210 and 200 mg%, well over twice the legal limit. Charges of impaired driving and driving over the legal limit are being recommended to Crown against this male, a 30 year old Canim Lake resident.

On March 3, 100 Mile House RCMP responded to an assault at the corner of first street and Birch Avenue, where a 24 year old male sustained minor injuries and was taken to the hospital and released that day. The matter is still being investigated.

On March 3, 100 Mile House RCMP responded to a single vehicle collision on highway 97 near 93 Mile. It was determined that a 24 year old female from Prince George had lost control of her vehicle and decided to jump out of the vehicle while it was still moving. Fortunately, the female only sustained minor injuries. A moderate amount of cocaine was located in the female's effects and charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance are being recommended to Crown against the female.

On March 4, RCMP responded to a report of an intoxicated female standing outside her vehicle a few kilometres from Highway 97 on Canim Lake Road. Upon the officers arriving, the female was now sitting in the drivers seat of her vehicle. It was determined that this female was impaired and she was subsequently detained. The driver provided two breath samples of 230 and 220 mg%, nearly three times the legal limit. Charges of care and control of a motor vehicle and care and control of a motor vehicle while over the legal limit are being recommended to Crown against this female, a 42 year old Williams Lake resident. The public is being reminded that even if one is sitting in their vehicle without the vehicle in motion while impaired, they can be charged with care and control of a motor vehicle while impaired.

On March 6, 100 Mile House RCMP Traffic Services pulled a vehicle over on highway 97 at Begbie Summit for a driving infraction and learned that the male driver was driving while prohibited. As a result, the male's vehicle was impounded for at least 30 days and charges of Driving while Prohibited are being recommended to Crown against this male, a 29 year old from Maple Ridge.
