As RCMP were out searching for Eddie William, they received a call about another young man who had been reported as missing.

Constable McKinnon attended 13 year old Craig Charleyboy’s school, and located him safe and sound.

A very short time later, another RCMP member located Eddie William walking along Highway 20.

Eddie had spent the night in some type of unheated structure in the area of Hodgson Road and Bond Lake Road. He told police that he got hungry, so about lunchtime he started walking in search of food. The police officer that located Eddie knew the boy and his family, and Eddie was glad to see the officer.

Other than being cold and hungry, Eddie was in good condition medically.

Members of the Williams Lake RCMP, the RCMP helicopter, volunteers from Central Cariboo Search and Rescue, and many community members searched diligently late into the night and again early this morning. “It was a day of good results,” said RCMP Safer Community Coordinator Dave Dickson.
