Over the weekend, Williams Lake RCMP responded to 81 calls for service.
On June 15 at approximately 3:00am, a PD Security guard called the RCMP to advise that a blue Kia Soul vehicle had its passenger side window smashed and broken while parked in the parking lot of the Cariboo Memorial Hospital. Police attend, located the owner of the vehicle, and discovered nothing had been taken from the vehicle. This was the first of two reports of vandalism to vehicles parked at the Cariboo Memorial Hospital.
On June 15 at approximately 3:30am, the owner of a vehicle called the RCMP to advise that the front passenger window of their red Volkswagen Golf had been smashed and broken while parked in the parking lot of the Cariboo Memorial Hospital. Police attended and spoke with the owner who advised she was staying at the nurses quarters on the hospital grounds when she heard a window being smashed and went to the window where she saw three native males looking at the smashed passenger side window of her car. One of the males is described as approximately 5'11 in height, slim and was wearing a red baseball cap and a black top. The males ran north bound toward 4th Avenue.

Last weekend the Williams Lake RCMP responded to approximately 50 calls for service.
On May 25 at 9:00am, Williams Lake RCMP were contacted after a female noticed an iPhone under her bathroom stall taking pictures or video of her while using the women's restroom at the Thompson Rivers University. The woman kicked the phone out of the hands of the suspect and left the restroom. The suspect left the building, he is described as approximately 5'10" to 6'1" tall, thin, wearing a black nylon shell with the hood over his head, grey shoes with orange/red soles, clean shaven and had mud up his back from riding a bicycle. The bike was an older Raleigh mountain bike, dark in color and had been locked at the bike stand. No suspect has been identified at this time. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Williams Lake RCMP.
On Sunday, May 26 around noon, police were dispatched to a vehicle roll over at the intersection of Pine Valley Road and Highway 97 North. An SUV left the road and went down a 30 foot embankment, coming to rest on the drivers side. There was substantial damage done to the vehicle, but both occupants were injured.

RCMP report quiet weekend in Williams Lake

The Williams Lake RCMP had relatively quiet May long weekend. There were 64 calls for service, most of which were minor in nature.
RCMP were called to a break and enter just after midnight on Sunday, May 19, at 800 - 2nd Ave North. Upon arrival, the RCMP discovered that a gas line ao the premise had been broken. There was a flower pot near by that may have caused the break in the line. The fire deptartment was called and the gas was turned off. Residents were evacuated for approximately half an hour. The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
Patrols were also made of several campsites in the area over the weekend, and all were reported to be peaceful.

Between February 23-26, members of Williams Lake RCMP detachment responded to approximately 110 calls for service.
On February 23 at 10:49am, police responded to reported vandalism at the apartments located at front sign to the apartments and side brick wall. The graffiti included ‘712’ text. No suspects have been identified at this time. If anyone has any information they are asked to contact the Williams Lake RCMP detachment or call CrimeStoppers.
