None of this would be possible without the help of the sponsors and the many volunteers that come together to organize and run this event. Irene Berns, the city's Recreation Programmer would like to acknowledge Cool Clear Water, Save on Foods and Safeway for their kind donations towards the event as well Deena Williamson, Mary Lewis, Bonnie Johansen, Sheila Wyse, Dale Taylor, Pat and Deb Radolla, the RCMP Auxiliary police, Citizens on Patrol and the Army Cadets for their invaluable time volunteering.
The first participant to return from the Terry Fox Run this morning was Kim Bowser. The second runner in was Robin Hoffos and Kyleigh Williamson arrived third, all ran the 5K course. The first runner returning from the 10K course was Claire Lawrence, second back was Dan Hay and the third runner was Jesse Belonio who will turn 60 years old next month. Jesse stated with a smile, "my times seem to fall a little each year, but I think they are still good times, I guess it's just because I get a little older each year."
