Williams Lake BC RCMP newsThe Williams Lake RCMP had relatively quiet May long weekend.  There were 64 calls for service, most of which were minor in nature.

RCMP were called to a break and enter just after midnight on Sunday, May 19, at 800 - 2nd Ave North. Upon arrival, the RCMP discovered that a gas line ao the premise had been broken. There was a flower pot near by that may have caused the break in the line. The fire deptartment was called and the gas was turned off. Residents were evacuated for approximately half an hour. The investigation into this incident is ongoing.

Patrols were also made of several campsites in the area over the weekend, and all were reported to be peaceful.
