Meeting called to order at 6:00pm
Agenda approved - no late items
Minutes of December 18, 2012 Williams Lake City Council meeting approved

Delegations:

1) Bruce Mack, President of the Cariboo-Chilcotin Partners for Literacy, appeared before Council to discuss Family Literacy Week (Jan 20-26th, 2013)

Business:

  1. Council received the accounts payable computer cheque listings for the periods ending December 20 and 28, 2012 for information.
  2. Council received the proposed Lease Agreement #CWL1900 with Canadian Helicopter Ltd. at the Williams Lake Regional Airport and the required Notice of Disposition be published in accordance with Section 26 (3) of the Community Charter; and approval of the Lease Agreement be considered at the January 22nd, 2012 Williams Lake City Council meeting.
  3. Council received for information the 2012 Annual Report of the Accessibility Advisory Committee.
  4. Council received the letter from Citizenship and Immigration Canada dated November 2012 regarding the 2013 Paul Yuzyk Award for Multiculturalism and nomination information and the community was encouraged to consider and submit their nominations for this award by the March 1, 2013 deadline.
  5. Council proclaimed the week of January 20 to 26, 2013 as 'Family Literacy Week' in the City of Williams Lake.

Meeting adjourned at 6:25pm
