It’s easy being green.

TRU North is offering the Sustainable Building Advisor Course in the beginning of March. This course teaches building professionals how to apply the fundamental principles of sustainability to the built environment. Williams Lake along with Vancouver are the only two cities in British Columbia offering this program.

Participants will learn the importance of sustainable building and design and establish competencies in applying LEED, Built Green and other relevant guidelines. The SBA training is offered over the course of nine months, with two full days of class each month. Participants will interact with likeminded business professionals and will be taught by experts in the field. Instructors will present the latest in sustainable design focusing on practical applications and underlying theories. Upon completion of the Final Project and Exam, students will earn the designation of Certified Sustainable Building Advisor (CSBA) and gain and understanding of the current sustainability performance standards.
