Cariboo Chilcotin Coast is the Talk of BC Street

Over the past two days BC Street has been a bustle of activity with visitors from around the world. People continue to flock to the signing log in the middle of the display, while other tourists marvel at the beauty of the photos and videos in the display’s interactive kiosk and the trees.

Some of today’s guests included a group of German athletes, families from Japan, Switzerland and Australia and a large crowd of sports fans from the Netherlands. And the team is certainly enjoying the pellet stove that Pinnacle Pellets so kindly loaned us for the Olympics.
It has been exciting to see representatives from all local governments of the Cariboo Cilcotin, the tourism associations, industry, and forestry students from UBC working together to promote our forest industries, tourism, agriculture and economic opportunities within our region.
Later this week we will be looking forward to enjoying a performance by cowboy poet Mike Puhallo, President of the BC Cowboy Heritage Society. Mike will be performing on Thursday, February 18 at 7pm in the Spirit Square of BC Street.
