Kick off the New Year with some fun family outings or head down to the Legion for dinner and dancing:
Friday December 30
The iceberg is back at Sam Ketcham Memorial Pool from 1:30pm to 3:00pm today for Iceberg Fun Days.
New at the Cariboo Growers Market this week are dried red onions from Redstone and sliced turkey sandwich meat from Quesnel.
The Cariboo Growers Market will be closed on Saturday December 31and will be back to regular store hours next week.
The Library hosts Preschool Storytime from 10:30am to 11:15am for ages 3-6.
The Royal Canadian Legion hosts their Friday Meat Draw from 5:00pm to 6:00pm this evening. They are located at 385 Barnard Street in Williams Lake.
Saturday December 31
The Legion hosts their Saturday Meat Draw from 3:00pm to 5:00pm this afternoon.
The Legion also hosts a New Year's Eve party tonight, beginning with cocktails at 6:00pm. Dinner follows at 6:30pm, then entertainment provided by the Laura Kelsey Band. Tickets are $40.00 each and are available at the Legion.

Tuesday January 3
The StrongStart program is available for ages 0-5 from Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 12:00pm at Marie Sharpe, Cataline, and Mountview Elementary Schools. The program resumes today after a two-week holiday break.
150 Mile House Elementary School has the StrongStart program every Tuesday from 8:30am to 11:30am.
Parent-Child Mother Goose is held in the Women’s Contact Society Boardroom from 10:00am to 11:00am for ages 0-5 and their parent or caregiver each Tuesday. Bring your little one to learn songs, stories, and rhymes.
The Library offers Toddler Time from 10:30am to 11:00am every Tuesday for ages 0-3.
The Station House Gallery has After-School Art Classes each Tuesday and Wednesday. This is a fun, flexible program which offers multiple learning opportunities. Wednesday January 4

The Rotary Club meets every Wednesday at C.J.’s Southwestern Grill at 12:05pm.
The Williams Lake Speed Skating club meets for practice each Wednesday from 3:15pm to 4:15pm. The cost is $75.00 for ten sessions, with today's session being free to try. For more information, contact Yvonne at 250-398-2354.
Thursday January 5
Wildwood Elementary School has the StrongStart program from 9:00am to 12:00pm each Thursday.
