News

The City of Williams Lake will conduct excavations along South Lakeside Drive from Hodgson Road to Cariboo Adventist Academy starting July 12, 2012. This work will be done during the day starting at 8:00am and will last for two days. The excavation work means there may be periodic disruptions in the traffic patterns and driveway entrances for a few hours each day.

This work is in addition to the water infrastructure replacement that is currently being done on South Lakeside Drive. These works are being done in preparation for rebuilding of South Lakeside Drive in 2013.

The City will endeavour to keep at least one lane of traffic open at all times on South Lakeside Drive, however for safety reasons there may be a need to stop traffic for short periods of time. All traffic detours or road closures will be directed by flag persons, so extra care will be needed by all vehicles using the road.
