News

cariboo_fire_centre_updateThe Cariboo Fire Centre said this morning that the fire in the Gustafsen/Dog Creek area is 100% machine-guarded and that ‘mop-up’ activities continue. Believed to be caused by lightning, the fire was discovered on the afternoon of July 9 and is estimated to be 11.5 hectares in size.

Today 40 fire fighters and two water trucks are on site. Fire activity has been minimal over the last couple of days, but there are still quite a few ‘hot spots’ in the fire’s perimeter.
