070312_TRU_science_awardA 'Community Spirit Certificate' was presented to Science World and TRU Williams Lake at tonight's City Council.

"We are one of a handful of communities chosen to hold Science World and we're proud to have them here," said Mayor Cook.

CRD Director Deb Bischoff was on the committee for Science World, and stating that it never would have happened without TRU professor Marten Lettinga.

"Every year there were so many people from the community who came forward," she said, "We'd like to start our own science event in Williams Lake."
