RCMPshield_crest2Two Williams Lake men are facing charges after being involved in a violent attack on Saturday afternoon in Williams Lake. 

At approximately 1:00pm Saturday afternoon, Williams Lake RCMP were called to the 600 block of Carson Drive for a complaint of 15 to 20 people fighting with bats, bottles, knives and hockey sticks.  When police arrived, they located a number of individuals who had been involved in the fight.  Four individuals were transported to the hospital where they were treated for non-life threatening injuries.  It is believed that the victims were known to their attackers.  The reason for the attack continues to be investigated. 

19 year old Kyle Deline from Williams Lake has been charged with two counts of Aggravated Assault, and two counts of Assault with a Weapon.  Deline remains in custody.  His next scheduled court date is December 10 in Williams Lake. 

A second man was also arrested at the scene and later released.  Charges relating to the attack have been recommended and the main is scheduled to attend court at a later date.
