Snow plow truck accident blocks side road north of Williams Lake

According to witnesses at the scene, an accident on a side road north of Williams Lake has resulted in a plow truck driver being injured when he exited the vehicle after his truck slid backward into a ditch.
A witness on scene said that there is a woman waiting on the other side of the now-blocked road who is in labour and on her way to the hospital, adding a heightened sense of urgency to clear the road.
The driver walked out to the highway and flagged down a motorist. He has since been taken to hospital and the truck is about to be removed from the location.
