Fire department douses semi fire last night

A few minutes before 11:00pm Sunday night, the Williams Lake Fire Department was called to the scene of a semi on fire on the property of Tolko Industries, near Highway 20 and South Lakeside Drive.
When our photograhers arrived, flames were visible above the cab, but they were quickly extinguished by fire crews.
The fire fighters applied foam/water to the cab and engine area of the tractor for approximately half an hour. The Kenworth tractor sustained major damage.
The cause of the fire is not known at this time, and it is believed that there were no injuries.
