071612_GUDMUNDSONOn July 14, the Valemount RCMP confirmed that missing person Dennis Gordon Gudmundson had been located.

The body of Mr Gudmundson and his motorcycle were located down an embankment on Highway 5, south of Valemount, BC.

Mr. Gudmundson was reported overdue to the Keremeos RCMP on July 8 by a close friend, after he failed to arrive as planned.  He had been traveling from Fort Saskatchewan, AB to his home on his Harley Davidson motorcycle.

Valemount RCMP are currently investigating the incident.

The RCMP have notified and offered their condolences to his family.   Family and close friends have asked the RCMP to convey their deep appreciation for the efforts by the BC SAR professional volunteers and all others who helped in the search for Mr. Gudmundson.
