Between February 23-26, members of Williams Lake RCMP detachment responded to approximately 110 calls for service.
On February 23 at 10:49am, police responded to reported vandalism at the apartments located at 605 Carson Drive. Someone had spray painted all over the front sign to the apartments and side brick wall. The graffiti included ‘712’ text. No suspects have been identified at this time. If anyone has any information they are asked to contact the Williams Lake RCMP detachment or call CrimeStoppers.

Later that afternoon, police responded to a report of a theft from a vehicle. The owner of the vehicle had stopped in the parking lot at the corner of Oliver Street and 4th Avenue South to attend a business in the area and left the vehicle unlocked. A black and grey purse with personal contents was stolen from the vehicle. No suspects have been identified.
At approximately 5:30pm a resident from MacKenzie Avenue called to report that an intoxicated male had broken into his house and appeared to be confused. The male perpetrator had jumped on the hood of a vehicle to gain access to the premises. The male was described as First Nations, short hair, large teeth and mouth, black hoodie, jeans, and was approximately 21-30 years old. Just prior to this complaint coming in, the Williams Lake RCMP also received an earlier call of a male matching the description causing problems at a residence on 2nd Ave North. The male in that case had threatened the occupant of the residence. Police located and arrested the perpetrator and the matter is still under investigation pending court action.
Just before 8:00am on February 25, Williams Lake RCMP responded to a report of a a theft from vehicle complaint on Commodore Crescent. The owner of the vehicle stated that their locked vehicle had been broken into between5:00pm and 10:30pm on February 24th. In the morning the owner noticed that the cash box for her business was on the ground and her vehicle had been broken into. Cash inside the cash box had been stolen.
On February 26 at 1:30pm, Williams Lake RCMP responded to a report of a break and enter at a residence on Comer Street. The occupant of the residence stated that his house appeared to have been broken into by someone smashing the kitchen window and two other windows into the basement. Items stolen said to be a 51" Samsung Smart TV and six rings. Glass was broken on three small windows and it was apparent that only a very small person could enter through them.
Police conducted routine road checks on February 26; approximately 60 vehicles were checked and a numerous infractions under the Motor Vehicle Act were identified.
